PR’ stands for Percentile Rank. IF a student scores 88 percentile, it does not mean that the student has scored 88% in the exam. It means that the student has performed better than 88 students if the total number of students being tested is 100. In other words, it means that the student has surpassed 88% students in the whole group which was tested. Therefore, score of 25 percentile to 75 percentile is average range, 75 percentile to 85 percentile represents bright students and are assumed to be high achievers, students scoring 85 percentile and above are assumed to be gifted students and the students who score more than 95 percentile are known to be very gifted students.
